Hi, there! I’m Marysa Warnhoff; Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, owner and founder of Uprise Pelvic Health, and general fan of revolutionizing women’s healthcare. I’m so excited you decided to stop by and explore pelvic floor PT! Trust me, it’s so cool!

I’m confident you will learn something new while spending time with me and nothing would make me happier than to be your advocate and partner throughout your health journey. I know how it feels to be ignored and dismissed after being vulnerable with a healthcare provider. I never want you to feel that way and I’ll help you assemble the best possible team to address your concerns.

When I’m not in the clinic, I’m busy chasing my two preschoolers around and getting to know our new home in Sioux Falls. My family is eager to be part of the community and take advantage of all South Dakota has to offer!

Hello! I’m Lori Woods!

With over 20 years of pelvic health experience, I am privileged to work alongside women treating conditions that span pre-childbearing, childbearing, post-childbearing, menopausal and post-menopausal stages of life. The complexity of the human body, the personal and private nature of pelvic health conditions, and the need to look at the person as a whole led me to Uprise Pelvic Health!

I will help you gain clarity on the best plan of care, especially when your search on social media and Google leaves you unsure.  Caring for YOU is my inspiration to constantly learn more and expand my knowledge base. You matter to me. I am eager to teach you, provide treatment that will help you meet meaningful goals and set you on a path of self-care.  I am a Certified Pregnancy and Post-Partum Corrective Exercise Specialist, and have trained in the McKenzie Institute of Spine Care and the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. I apply conservative approaches of physical therapy including manual therapy, exercise prescription and most importantly, education.

I’m a mom of three and an Iowa native, but I’ve lived in Sioux Falls for 27 years! Long walks with my Golden Retriever are my favorite!

The Story of Uprise

When Marysa graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, she worked in orthopedics for several years in Missouri (her native state). She practiced in outpatient settings with various focuses including spine conditions, orthopedic injuries and rehab, chronic pain, joint replacement, and post-surgical conditions. She was searching everywhere for her true professional passion.

Enter pelvic health.

She then moved to Boston, MA where an opportunity presented itself for specialization in pelvic health. Marysa took the first of many training courses and was hooked! How did we not all know this incredible, life-changing information?

Marysa started treating individuals suffering from chronic pelvic pain, painful intercourse, incontinence, constipation, pregnancy related concerns and postpartum weakness and pain. She saw lives change before her eyes and knew she had found my calling. She treated hundreds of individuals with complex complaints and medical histories while working alongside other fabulous clinicians at Harvard Medical School.

After the birth of her first child I came face-to-face with the reality of the state of women’s healthcare. Even though she is a medical professional and a pelvic health expert, Marysa was SHOCKED at the lack of preparation, the intense recovery process without support, and the minimal follow up involved in childbirth. When she returned from maternity leave, she was having to fight with insurance companies to get pelvic PT covered for patients suffering from life altering pelvic floor dysfunction. Marysa knew there had to be a better way.
