Can you help me with MY problem?

With our many years of experience, it’s difficult to come to us with a diagnosis we’ve never treated! If you have particular concerns or questions, please call our office to speak with our staff! Here is a ridiculously long list of the most common diagnoses:

  • Pain Conditions: pelvic girdle pain, abdominal pain, dyspareunia (painful sex), pain with tampon insertion, inability to have speculum exam, vaginismus, vulvodynia, vulvar vestibulitis, pudendal neuralgia, coccydynia (tailbone pain), endometriosis, post-surgical pain, low back pain, hip pain, SI joint pain, interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome

  • Bladder Issues: urinary frequency, urinary urgency, stress incontinence, urge incontinence, mixed incontinence, incomplete bladder emptying, waking at night to urinate, post-prostatectomy leaking, overactive bladder

  • Bowel Issues: straining to poop, constipation, painful bowel movements, incomplete bowel movements, fecal incontinence, chronic fissures, hemorrhoids, rectal spasms (proctalgia fugax), anismus

  • Pelvic Organ Prolapse: cystocele, rectocele, enterocele, uterine prolapse. Symptoms include pelvic heaviness, feeling a bulge in the vaginal area, incomplete emptying of bladder or bowel.

  • Prenatal Care: low back pain, hip pain, pubic symphysis dysfunction, core and pelvic floor muscle training, body mechanics education, childbirth preparation, what to expect postpartum

  • Postpartum Care: perineal scar tissue massage, diastasis recti management, core and pelvic floor muscle training, urinary incontinence, painful sex, bowel retraining, pelvic organ prolapse, safe return to exercise/preferred activities

  • Male Specific: penile/genital pain, chronic prostatitis, bladder concerns, post-op prostatectomy care, low back pain and hip pain

  • Gender Affirming Care: gender affirming surgery prep, post-op dilator training, post-op rehabilitation (and of course providing inclusive care for any of the aforementioned conditions)

Do you take my insurance?

All of our services are covered by out of network physical therapy benefits. We are happy to provide you with a detailed Superbill for you to submit so your insurance company can reimburse you directly. FSA/HSA cards are accepted as well. We are passionate about providing the best possible services to help you get better. This means you will be charged a reliable fee with no hidden costs and payment is due at time of service.

Do I need to see my doctor first?

Nope! You do not need a physician’s prescription or referral to receive physical therapy services in the state of South Dakota. We are happy to communicate with your doctor if you wish and will always refer to the appropriate medical professional if indicated. If you have a doctor’s prescription/referral, please bring it in or fax it to the office.

What do you actually do in pelvic PT?

Pelvic floor physical therapy is helpful for so many issues! Everyone’s treatment sessions look a little bit different based on their individual needs and preferences. One thing you can be sure of, you will always be seen for an hour, one-on-one with a licensed and qualified physical therapist who has dedicated their career to helping people just like you.
